Visited my friend and one of my all-time artist mentor’s new company site yesterday. They are Moonbot Studios. His name is Brandon Oldenburg – chances are, you’ve heard of his work with the Traveling Man sculptures, or his incredible work and tenure at ReelFx. Check out Moonbot if you have time. Their talent is sick, and it looks like they have a clear direction of where they are, and where they want to be. We’ll pretend it doesn’t bother us that Louisiana took one of Texas’ best artists out of state! Here are some stills from their work. Also, be sure to watch their culture video on the homepage.

Jeremy Whitten Digital Dallas 5 at Janimation, Inc.

Created this graphic for Digital Dallas #5 hosted by Janimation, Inc. Bringing Digital Dallas to Janimation started as an idea, and lead to a production which consisted of: an awesome presentation, entertainment, food and drinks, and social networking. Want to know more? Contact me.

This is probably the coolest thing I have ever gotten to design and build.

This machine lives in our studio at Janimation. The original design was done in Photoshop. The machine was cleaned, then primered and painted orange. The silver was polished, and a layer of black paint was added to the wood texture and to the legs. The signage was typeset in Adobe Illustrator and painted in Photoshop. This was an awesome project!
